The Chapel, Manchester Royal Infirmary is a Grade II Listed building which has stood empty
since around 1990. From this point in time it is understood that all
building services were disconnected. There was no access to the mezzanine due to the
fragile state of the structure.
Octave Design Services Ltd were appointed to investigate the current state of the
building services and to recommend basic measures in order for the building to be retained in
a “mothballed” state until further notice.
The scope of service relating to this survey and report extends to the following;
• Condition and capacity of the existing incoming services.
• Condition of the existing building services.
• Recommendations with regards to future preservation of the Chapel.
• High level budget costs associated with the above.
